FAQ
-
What does a celebrant do?
A celebrant creates and conducts personalised ceremonies that are meaningful, inclusive, and entirely tailored to the couple . Whether it's a wedding, vow renewal, naming day, or other life celebration, I work with you to craft a ceremony that reflects their values, story, and style.
-
Are celebrant-led ceremonies legally binding?
In England and Wales, celebrant ceremonies are not currently legally binding. Many couples choose to complete the legal formalities at a registry office before or after the ceremony. Your celebrant ceremony, however, will be the moment that feels truly special and unique to you.
-
Can religious or cultural elements be included in the ceremony?
Absolutely. The ceremony can include whatever is meaningful to the couple, whether that’s a prayer, ritual, reading, or symbolic tradition. I discuss your preferences and make sure the ceremony reflects your values and beliefs.
-
How far in advance should we book?
Ideally, as soon as you have a date in mind. Popular dates tend to get booked quickly, especially in summer. That said, I’ll always do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings if I’m available.
-
Do you travel for ceremonies?
Yes! I’m based in Kent but happy to travel across the UK—and beyond. Travel costs may apply for locations outside my local area, and I’ll always be upfront about any additional expenses.
-
What happens if you’re unable to attend on the day?
In the very unlikely event of an emergency, I have a network of trusted celebrants I can call on to ensure your ceremony goes ahead as planned. Your script will already be prepared and ready to hand over.
-
Can we meet before booking?
Of course! I offer a free, no-obligation chat (in person or online) so you can get a feel for whether I’m the right fit for your ceremony.
